Wimbash posterDoug Wimbish and Nova Sound Studios, LLC will present the 12th Annual WimBash>>Hartford on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 9:00 pm to 1:30 am at Sully’s Pub at Lena’s Pizzaria (2071 Park Street, Hartford, CT 06106).
Proceeds from the specially themed event – WimBash Funk & Disco Night – will benefit Hartford Performs.

An exciting evening of 70’s era funk and disco music awaits, performed by internationally acclaimed rock royalty joined together as The WimBash All-Starz. This supergroup features Doug Wimbish and frontman Corey Glover of the Grammy Award winning rock-funk band Living Colour, drummer Daru Jones as featured on the July 2015 cover of Modern Drummer magazine (Jack White, The RUFF Pack) and guitarist Paul Pesco (Hall & Oates, Madonna).
Special guests John McCarthy (Rockhouse School of Music), powerhouse vocalist Heather Joseph (Chemical Z), Berklee College of Music sophomore Kyle Ward, JME Strchld, Steve Cioppa, Angela Luna and Mike Golembeski will join the WimBash All-Starz bringing outstanding local talent to the evenings festivities.  Connecticut’s own DJ Markie Gee will be spinning and keeping the groove on.
Hosted by the legendary Living Colour and Sugar Hill Records bassist Doug Wimbish and sponsored by Eventide, Stuart Spector Designs, HRS Unlimited, Fishman, Guitar Center- Manchester, CT, Pigtronix, Rockhouse Method and Sully’s Pub at Lena’s Pizzaria, the WimBash Funk & Disco Night event and prize drawing proceeds will support Hartford Performs.

Featuring a throwback to the music and fashion of the 70’s, the event will feature a live music stage, DJ and raffles including Gift Certificates to the Max Restaurant Group, Bobby V’s Sports Bar and Restaurant (Windsor Locks, CT) , Republic Restaurant (Bloomfield, CT) and Millwrights Restaurant (Simsbury, CT).
The WimBash Instrument and Music Gear Amnesty program will be available at the event. Your donation of gently used or unwanted musical instruments and gear will be distributed to underserved youth in the Hartford, CT area in conjunction with Nova Sound Studios.
